Sinopsis

Fernanda is the youngest daughter of the landowner Gonzalo Elizalde, owner of a major dairy company, and Eduardo is the son of Soledad, the housekeeper of the family Elizalde. The two children have grown up together and are united by a love innocent and fair, despite the difference in social class. Gonzalo lives happily with his wife Montserrat and their 5 children, without suspecting that an implacable enemy lurks in the shadows. Artemio Bravo feels towards Gonzalo an intense hatred and bitterness that has corroded his mind, and his only goal in life is to destroy, slowly and painfully, the whole family Elizalde. To achieve his goal, he uses a young woman without scruples who comes to the Gonzalo´s company under the name of Barbara Greco. Her intelligence makes a good impression on Gonzalo, who hires her as his personal assistant. Slowly and with great cunning, Barbara manages to get his confidence.

Barbara's first victims are Fernanda and Eduardo, who are discovered while gently kissing. With venomous and subtle words, Barbara convinces Montserrat that Eduardo is a danger to the girl, and the boy is sent to a boarding school in the city. The letters from the children reach the hands of Soledad and she, with much pain, decides to prevent them from reaching their destination. This causes Fernanda to feel forgotten by Eduardo.

The next step in Artemio's plan is to turn Barbara into Don Gonzalo's wife, which means Montserrat must die. Barbara suffocates Montserrat with a pillow and makes it look like the Elizaldes' eldest daughter, Liliana, committed the murder. Protesting her innocence, the desperate teenager is taken to a psychiatric hospital. Later, Gonzalo marries Barbara and makes her a company executive.

Soledad is the only one who knows how evil Barbara is, but she must keep silent. She lives in a torment for years, missing her son Eduardo; Barbara threatens to have Eduardo killed if Soledad speaks up. The years pass, and Eduardo, after getting a Masters degree abroad, returns to the manor and is reunited with his mother, Soledad, who is slowly dying. She tells him of the ordeal she had to live through, and Eduardo swears vengeance.

Fernanda falls in love with a rich man named Damian and marries him. In reality, Damian is Barbara's new accomplice and lover. Eduardo sees Fernanda, without telling her who he is. He feels forgotten by Fernanda, too, as he is invited to her wedding under the business name of Franco Santoro. Fernanda feels an unexplainable attraction towards Eduardo, and their love is reborn. Eduardo meets with his lifelong companion, Jacinto, and together, they fight against the forces of Barbara Greco.

Now Eduardo Juarez uses the identity of Franco Santoro, in order to come close to the Elizalde family. He pretends to be a very important businessmen from Power Milk, and is in pursuit of making business with the Elizalde company Grupo Lactos.

Feranda's marriage with Damian is surrounded by many family problems and conflicts. In a few weeks Damian is convinced by Barbara to escape and that she will deposit 3 million to his account, and later join him in his escape. But instead she only deposits 300 dollars and makes it seem like Damian stole 3 million from Lactos. Fernanda is devastated. A love has now grown for Franco.

Liliana is able to escape after her friend Ziro sets off a bomb to prevent the doctor from electroshocking her. Ziro dies in the hospital, but before he dies he gives Eduardo a letter from his mom and a chess piece containing a very important phrase. That phrase will allow him to claim a multi million dollar fortune from Ziros inventions. And this money will allow him to make business with Grupo Lactos. Now the doctor is kept under control, and liliana is getting better.

As for Ferandas younger brother, Santiago he has found love with Aurora. She is a character filled with mystery as she doesnt know her parents. But not knowing Barbara is her mother.
